Plastic Plate, LLC - A Division of Lacks Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Injection Molding Process Engineer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, qualify, and document a durable molding process for new injection molds.
  • Produce and/or coordinate providing required sample parts for internal process development & pre-production orders prior to SOP.
  • Provide and maintain a mold trial and process development history during pre-production mold runs.
  • Provide feedback on tool performance and process related issues with recommended corrective next steps in sample run record documentation.
  • Support manufacturing in troubleshooting, problem solving, capacity planning, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Lead process related problem solving activities utilizing DOE methods as required.
  • Participate in Engineering design of product and tooling.
  • Support Engineering Design and Program Engineering with Moldflow analysis.
  • Provide customer support as needed.
  • Build degaters and end-of-arm tooling
  • Develop a robust process for each secondary piece of equipment.



A Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering with three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of industrial electrical and logic circuits, hydraulics, and thermodynamics. Ability to program secondary robotic equipment. Experience programming Motoman and Sepro robots.
